Why Are IUX Charts and Server Time Different From Other Brokers?

Many traders may notice that price charts and timestamps on IUX platforms differ slightly from those of other brokers, even when trading the same financial instruments. This occurs due to variations in server infrastructure, market trading hours, and liquidity conditions, which can result in minor discrepancies in chart data during certain periods.

Main Reasons Why Charts and Time May Differ

1. Different Server Locations

Each broker may operate servers in different geographic regions. IUX uses multiple global servers to support traders across various time zones, including cloud servers located in London (Europe) and Singapore (Asia).

Because servers operate in different time zones, the opening and closing times of candlesticks, or the starting point of each price bar, may appear slightly different compared to platforms using servers in other regions.

2. Differences in Market Trading Hours by Region

Global financial markets operate across different sessions, such as the Asian, European, and U.S. trading sessions. Since these markets open and close at different times, overlapping trading hours can cause price data to be recorded differently across platforms.

As a result, charts from different brokers may not align perfectly during certain periods, especially when markets transition between sessions.

Impact on the Market and Price Charts

  • During periods of high market volatility or major economic news releases, price data from different servers may experience slight delays.
  • Market prices are synchronized once a candlestick closes or when traders switch to a different timeframe.
  • When observing shorter timeframes such as M1, M5, or M15, charts across brokers generally appear very similar once data synchronization is complete.

These differences are not technical errors or platform malfunctions. They result from a carefully designed system architecture that supports multi-regional connectivity and global trading environments. This structure ensures that traders worldwide receive accurate, stable, and reliable price data, even during fast-moving market conditions.
