Managing your IUX account security settings is simple and essential for protecting your account. IUX offers four verification methods:

  • Email (Email is automatically set as the default verification method when you register. You can change it to another method at any time.)
  • Phone Number (SMS)
  • Authenticator App (TOTP)
  • Passkey (recommended for the highest level of security and the fastest verification experience)

Your selected verification method will be used to verify your identity for important actions and financial transactions, such as withdrawals and partner commission withdrawals.

(Note for Partners: If you are an IUX Partner, you must update your OTP settings directly through the IUX Client Dashboard.)

How to Change Your Verification Method

Follow these steps to switch from the default Email verification method to another method:

  1. Log in to your account on the IUX website.
  2. Click the profile icon in the top-right corner and select Settings.
  3. Select OTP Verification.
  4. Choose your preferred verification method: Email, Phone Number, Authenticator App, or Passkey.
  5. Enter the OTP sent to your current verification method to authorize and complete the change.

Enhance Your Login Security with 2FA

For maximum account security, we recommend enabling Login Verification (2FA).

Go to Security & Access and enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to add an additional layer of protection when logging in to your account.

Recommended Verification Methods for Maximum Security

IUX recommends the following two verification methods for enhanced security and stronger protection against unauthorized access:

1. Enable Passkey (Highly Recommended)

What is a Passkey?

A Passkey is a fast and highly secure verification method that allows you to verify your identity directly through your personal device without waiting for an OTP or entering a 6-digit code.

Passkeys use the security features already available on your device, such as:

  • Face ID or Touch ID on iPhone / Mac
  • Face or fingerprint recognition on Android
  • Windows Hello or PIN on Windows computers

Note: The pop-up window used for facial recognition, fingerprint authentication, or PIN verification is provided by your device's operating system (OS) or browser. IUX does not design or control this interface. Therefore, the verification window may look different depending on your device, operating system, or browser.

Benefits of Passkey:

  • Enhanced security: Passkeys provide strong protection against interception and phishing attacks.
  • Fast and convenient: Verify your identity instantly using your personal device without waiting for an OTP via SMS or email.
  • Cross-device support: You can use your Passkey across devices. For example, if you save a Passkey on your mobile phone and later make a withdrawal on a computer where the Passkey is not saved, you can use your mobile phone to scan the QR code displayed on the computer and verify the transaction using your Passkey.

Unsupported Devices:

  • Devices that do not support Passkeys, such as Android devices running a version earlier than Android 9, cannot use Passkey verification.

How to Add and Manage Passkeys:

  1. Select Passkey under the OTP Verification tab.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to register a Passkey on your device.
  3. Manage Passkeys:
    • You can add up to 10 Passkeys to one IUX account, supporting up to 10 devices.
    • The Manage option will appear once Passkey verification has been enabled. From there, you can Add, Remove, or Rename individual Passkeys.
    • Security verification: To add or remove a Passkey, you must first verify your identity using one of your existing Passkeys.
    • If you remove all registered Passkeys, your verification method will automatically revert to Email OTP.

2. Enable an Authenticator App

What is an Authenticator App?

An Authenticator App is an application on your smartphone, such as Google Authenticator or Authy, that generates a 6-digit one-time password. The code refreshes every 30 seconds, allowing you to securely verify your identity without relying on a mobile network or email.

How to Set Up an Authenticator App:

To enhance account security when authorizing transactions, such as withdrawals and partner commission withdrawals, follow these steps:

  1. Select Authenticator App under the OTP Verification tab.
  2. Use your Authenticator App to scan the QR code displayed on the screen.
  3. Save your Backup Code: The system will generate an emergency Backup Code. Store this code in a secure location in case you lose access to your mobile device.

How to Reset Your Passkey or Authenticator App

If you lose access to your device, such as when your mobile phone is lost, and you do not have a Backup Code or cannot access your Passkey, you can request a reset by following these steps:

  1. Click "Request to reset OTP".
  2. Complete the identity verification form.
  3. Check your registered email address and confirm the reset request.
  4. Once your request has been reviewed and approved by the Support team, all existing Passkeys will be removed (or your Authenticator App will be disconnected), and your verification method will automatically revert to Email OTP.

Conditions for Admin Reset Requests:

  • Approved requests: You can submit a reset request once per day.
  • Rejected requests: You can submit a new request without any limit on the number of attempts.

How to Change Your Registered Phone Number

If you use SMS verification and need to update your registered mobile phone number:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Go to Personal Information and click Change Phone Number.
  3. Enter your account password to verify your identity.
  4. Enter your new phone number.
  5. Enter the OTP sent to your new phone number.
  6. Confirm to complete the update.
