What is Proof of Address (POA)? Accepted Documents for Address Verification with IUX

Proof of Address (POA), or address verification, is a document used to confirm that a person truly resides at the address they provided.

It is an important step in the identity verification process (KYC – Know Your Customer) and part of compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations (AML – Anti-Money Laundering), which are required by financial regulators and broker compliance standards.

Documents Accepted as Proof of Address (POA)

Accepted POA documents must be issued by a government authority or a trusted organization. The document must be issued within the last 3 months, and the applicant’s name and address must match the details used in both the Proof of Identity (POI) and the Proof of Address (POA) submission.

If you currently live at a different address from the one shown on your previously registered documents (POI), please ensure that the documents you submit match the address type you selected during the POA process (registered address or current address). The submitted document must clearly reflect the same address details as entered in the system.
