CFDs trading sessions
The CFDs market is a decentralized international market with no geographical borders and functions around the clock, five days a week. You can trade the market any time of the day or night doesn’t necessarily mean that you should.
As one major international trading center closes, another one opens, meaning that you can trade CFDs 24/5. There are some markets that overlap and the highest volume of trading activity usually takes place during those periods of time as there are more trading opportunities.
Daylight savings and the CFDs market
Due to the fact that many countries shift to Daylight Savings Time (DST) in the summertime, market opening and closing hours change in the summer and winter months.
At IUX, we observe the dates of US Daylight Savings Time (DST). In the summer starts on second Sunday in March, ends on first Sunday in November and in the winter starts on first Sunday in November, ends on second Sunday in March.
CFDs market working hours
IUX is open for trading 24/5. Here are our trading times for various instruments and asset classes for both summer and winter.
Reminder: for some instruments there is a daily break during which quotes and trading are unavailable.
Holidays and CFDs
Holidays affect trading timings throughout the year, and it is important to be mindful of these as they may impact your trading strategies.
Reminder: You can check about notification of market holidays and Daylight Savings Time on your E-mail.
